It’s been a crazy month of sickness for me. Coughing, congestion, sore throat, headaches and fatigue. With all the Cold FX and oil of oregano I have been consuming I should be super woman by now! But apparently my immune system is not as strong as I thought and maybe I forgot to wear my scarf a few times and have stayed up late looking at tea blogs… Whatever the case may be I have become sick for the second or third time this season. So it is time for a top five get well tea list to help those of you who have been dragged into the sick pool as well.
Top 5 Get Well Teas:
1) David’s Tea Cold 911
The eucalyptus helps relieve congestion. You can steam this tea in the shower and breathe it in as well as drinking it.
2) David’s Tea Bravissimo
The licorice root in this tea soothes and coats your throat when those dry coughs get irritating.
3) Yogi Tea Echinacea Immune Support
Echinacea is known for boosting the immune system and that is just what is failing us in times of sickness.
4) My own herbal remedy of fenugreek seeds [with honey and lemon]
Fenugreek nourishes the body, soothes the stomach and can aid the respiratory system. Mix the seeds with another tea or just with lemon and honey for a sweet tisane.
5) David’s Tea Ginseng Oolong
Gin-sing! Fun to say isn’t it? Ginseng is also an immune booster and sweet on the throat, just what you need when you do not want to get out of bed in the morning.
